ABOUT GOLDFINCH SOLAR PROJECT

Goldfinch Solar is a 200 MW utility-scale solar energy generation facility in development on private land in Washington County, Iowa, and is expected to start commercial operations by 2025.

As one of the most cost-effective sources of electricity available today, solar power is instrumental to achieving net zero targets in Washington County, Iowa. Goldfinch Solar Project will generate enough solar energy to power up to 33,000 Iowa homes per year.

The facility also offers new sources of long-term local and state tax revenues for schools, government services, and public infrastructure and creates direct and indirect jobs during construction and operations. Additionally, Goldfinch Solar will provide business opportunities in Washington County for companies seeking to expand to locations with access to renewable power.
